recent quilt effort called ' I'll Fly Away ' it is some black heavy wieght cotton that has been discharged and over painted. Then an old hanky of my Grandmothers torn into rough shapes and fme'd .....minimal overall quilting as it seemed to stand on it's own. Posted by Picasa

interesting to read how others view this work my first thought as it came on screen was of a gallion in full sail flying over the ocean, you can tell I live near the ocean can't you,
you have been having fun with all your paint/dye experiments and getting a variety of great fabrics that will keep you busy stitching in winter,

Joining the que to say i like this piece very much...and all of the descriptions (organic, eyecatching, ethereal, cobwebs, galleon in full sail flying over the ocean, float) are accurate and some would make a great poem.
