Moments in life

Last Thursday on the first day of spring our youngest son married his love.... We did not get to attend the wedding but we get to have the pictures and we will celebrate with them when we can. ...We are so proud of Conrad and couldn't be more pleased with this wonderful women whose name is now Alison Henkel. Conrad flew into Ohio last Tuesday very early in the morning order to surprise Alison and propose....and she said yes.....everybody knew this was going to happen except Alison....Conrad never even considered the fact that the ring actually has to fit on a finger and ....low....it fit perfectly....the brides mother works at city hall...the mayor married them...co-workers surprised them with a cake and reception what could be more special than that.....we were with them in spirit and only wish happiness and joy for THE REST OF THEIR LIVES....Conrad has had to fly back to Camp Pendleton and Alison will finish school...(she graduates from Kent State on May 11th) and then ...finally get to join him......you know time seems like it goes so slow when you are away from the one you love...... yesterday

I take my FIL to church when we are in town....yesterday when I arrived at the nursing home he was feeding the birds that live in the lobby...he saves bits of food for them from his meals and is very careful not to give them "too much sugar" he always wears these hats that I made for him...he lost one ...I made him a new one then he found the old one....now he wears both.... then when I got home I found my nephew Nate digging a hole in the pasture....the nanny goat had delivered two babies while we were at church and being a first time Mom just didn't have together enough to get them going...so they both died...and Nate was kind enough to dig the hole to bury them....then she delivered the third...very tiny baby....took her all day to decide she was her Mom...and the baby is very weak and small...but Oh so cute... hope she makes it

here she is still a little wet and wobbly HPIM4336.JPG

Nate made biscuits for dinner....they were very flaky....he didn't want me to take his picture 'cause he wasn't wearing a shirt.....
