adlefritterpiddlepatted...I met Sonji and Gerrie!!!

So....I drove down to Eugene on Friday and met Gerrie and Sonji...Gerrie actually lives fairly close to me and I was so glad to meet her in person.....but Sonji came from Wisconsin to attend the opening of her show at the MAUDE KERNS gallery ...I do not know how she was selected to show here but the wierd thing is that Maude Kerns and Sonji have a relationship.....in art anyway....the colors and shapes of Maude's art are reflected in Sonji's.....

there she was....painting on the wall of the gallery as I walked in......I enjoyed watching her paint as she talked to folks who wanted to meet her and needed her wisdom....her show is awesome...it is interesting to see her work on white...as I am used to seeing it on black backgrounds on her blog.....I enjoyed seeing all the pieces in context with one another......(my Mom and I have been talking about cohesiveness lately)..I am still not sure how I describe "cohesive" but Sonji can as evidenced by this show.....

anyway....my camera was with me...batteries fresh and I didn't take any pictures......hum,

the pub ...and family

we had lunch at a "pub" quite the labrynth.....through the front of an ice-cream shop/hard-ware/second-hand store...

our fav SIL met us at the behemoth for the trip and we caught up with my brother and out neice ...he got stuck in the sand driving around on the beach waiting for us to get there...just can't leave him alone without an adult.....

did I mention how proud we are to have Karen .....she keeps the family under control.....We don't know how she does it....and mostly long-distance too!!! what a wonder she is...

preview of a bit of fluff

the behemoth has these rather ugly upholstered window frames....but they do make great audition/design spaces....this is another in a series cale "whose a pretty?...."
