thanks for the info Ginger, mine is not in as good a condition as yours but it is a family machine and I'm the fourth genteration owning it, I have it's history, I was thinking of putting it in my gallery/shop area, I'll clear all the fabric off it!!! and take a photo and post,

also...I'm a bit dumb, I couldn't think what you meant by 'tuned' until I relooked at the sunprint then the 'light' went on....keys.....guess I'll have to try one in black and white.

What a beauty! My Mom has an old Singer, not as beautiful as yours. It was the first machine Dad ever bought her. She has always loved that machine. Mom is 76 now and can't sew anymore, being in a nursing facility due to a bad stroke.

yes I'm up for a treadle challenge but first I have got to check it still works, I have not used it since I moved to scotland due to the broken belt, I'll find time at the week end to test it and let you know,
did yours have any gagets, mine did not but I have the gagets from great aunt Flora's treadle, which was my materal grandmothers, Rosie's is maternal grandfathers family,
grandma's machine lived in our house and I leart to treadle on it but when I was a grown up married lady so not living there and my mother had gone to stay with a friend for a week 'Dad' 'gave'it away!!!!!!! he suffered for this...
