Bizarre
It is quite strange ...when I click on the " world View " quiz I get my blogger dashboard...I guess that is my world view ?
my dad's father's day present from me
I was working on this before father's day but just got it finished today...my Dad is a plumber AND a philosopher....the quote says
"The society which scorns excellence in plumbing as a humble activity and tolerates shoddiness in philosophy because it is an exalted activity will have neither good plumbing nor good philosophy : neither its pipes nor its theories will hold water."
John W. Gardner
I printed the pipe image and the quote onto cloth from my inkjet and then pieced it into some discharged black satin then hand sewed the copper pipe and plumbing bits it is 29" X 10 1/2 " ( that is from the top of the holder to the longest dangle ) I shall give it to him tonight.

My father's day present
My Dad brought ME a father's day present!! He loves to buy things on impulse ...for no particular reason...then he acts like it is no big deal...just a thought. Isn't this beautiful!!! It is called the "red-eye" built between 1913 and 1915..I can get the bobbins and a new belt on-line ...It needed some cleaning but now sews like a hot knife through butter and SILENTLY.... so I won't miss bits of the recorded books...here is a photo of the new girl...

something else
I also experimented with printing onto some cotton that I had used for mopping while dyeing. I used transparency film and pressed into acrylic matte medium as it came off the printer..pretty cool..I haven't got a use yet but I WILL

play week
hello...all you artfull quilters...this is my little quilt of experimentation...I discharged the velvet...which came from my grandma, she loved pink, ...with a star shaped stamp ...part of the discharging got a little out of control..but that made an opportunity to have a comet appear!!! the comet is a small piece of cotton that I did with wallpaper paste and paints and dyes...so the comet needed some rationalization and I added the little village..imagine what they must have thought of that above their heads...more experiments tomorrow...

I made this little bag for a friend at work who is moving to Virginia, we will miss her!! I am moving my creativity center into another part of the house...again...so I have been busy doing that instead of making art..will post photos of that when it is finished. The good news is that the dog hair is getting cleaned up!!
